We would like to inform you that the Vancouver Island Regional Education, Networking & Tradeshow (RENT) event in Nanaimo, scheduled for April 16 and 17 at the Coast Bastion Hotel, has been cancelled due to precautions surrounding COVID-19 / Coronavirus. We are working with our partners to explore opportunities for a virtual RENT event, about which we will share more information with you shortly. If you or your team members have already made full payment for the Vancouver Island RENT event, you will receive a full refund.
As you may be aware, Canadian public health authorities have escalated measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, including advising for reduced travel and increased social distancing. Our sector works with many vulnerable members of the community, and with that in mind we are taking precautionary efforts and working together with our partners to minimize the risk of exposure. This includes closely examining our other upcoming events and services to members, and business travel.
While these decisions have been difficult, we understand our role in helping to minimize the transmission of the virus to vulnerable people.
